On the greyhound racing oval

Bring your family and friends and join the fun. There will be lots of activities for kids and adults, the chance to score points for your suburb, dog races for your family pet, a photographic exhibition, and a display of historic speedcars.

The Wentworth Park Games gives residents of Glebe, Forest Lodge, Pyrmont and Ultimo (and other inner-city people) a chance to rediscover this great park. The day features a wide variety of fun sporting events and displays to celebrate the history of our wonderful park.

Greyhounds as Pets will be there again with dogs and information about adopting a retired greyhound. You may discover your ideal family pet - gentle, obedient and very affectionate.

Vintage midget speedcars will be on show too, and a display of photos of the Wentworth Park speedway in the 1930s.

Fierce competition

  • Join in the giant tug o' war
  • Help your suburb by competing in the People's Games
  • Have a sausage from the Ultimo P&C
  • View displays about the park

Return of the Mongrels

The day will also include races for local pooches. The winners of the "All dogs except greyhounds" races will be presented with the prestigious Wenty Park Mongrel Cups – one for large and one for small dogs.
